Hernandez Office Solutions was started in 1985 after Mr. Louis Hernandez graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Mr. Hernandez started his business operating out of his apartment. The lack of a storefront and warehouse required him to meet his vendors’ trucks along their routes to obtain his supplies.

Today, with sales approaching $10 Million, we employ over 45 employees and operate out of a 7,000-square-foot office building in Nederland, as well as our office in Port Arthur. In 2012, we opened a new 3,000-square-foot storefront and warehouse located at 1708 Nederland Avenue.

In the beginning, the main focus of the business was selling information processing supplies, including printer ribbons, diskettes, computer paper, etc. As the business continued to grow and in order to meet the needs of our customers, our product lines were expanded to include quality office furniture at reasonable prices. In 2003, in an effort to give our customers a one-stop shop for all their office needs, we became an authorized Kyocera Dealer for the Southeast Texas Region, enabling us to sell and service a full line of high-quality award-winning facsimile machines, printers, and copiers. We have expanded our products and services to include SAMSUNG office equipment as well as custom printing and copying services.

In order to provide our customers with up-to-date technology in a user-friendly format, our new website, launched in the Fall of 2016, offers a variety of options, including online supply ordering with free, next-day desktop delivery in the local delivery area, same-day shipping (in most cases) outside the local delivery area as well as ordering copier supplies and copier service requests.

Hernandez Office Solutions has met the stringent guidelines required to become SDB and HUB certified. We are active members of the Houston Minority Business Council and the Golden Triangle Minority Business Council. In 2003, we also became a GSA contract holder.
